Here’s a tip on looking (and feeling) good during your hustle.
I came across the mudra practice when I was searching for ways to combat stress and anxiety- the all-too-familiar withering subtext of bicoastal living and feeling constantly on-the-go with 2 little ones in tow.
There are countless articles and research on the benefits of meditation, acupuncture other explorative integrative medicine attributing to our mental wellness so I was intrigued when I came across Kali Zoe Design, a jewelry design studio dedicated to holistic themes in wearable design, hence their tagline: jewelry with a purpose. The Company was founded by sisters Callie and Arianna Spiros, who wanted to create a purpose beyond the usual confines of jewelry but also aim to connect the body to nature.
All of their jewelry is handcrafted in the U.S. with recycled metals, conflict-free stones. Their unique Mudra design applies pressure to the LI4 pressure point between the thumb and forefinger, which is a point known to relax the central nervous system, alleviate headaches, anxiety, stress, and increases circulation.
Callie and Arianna were kind enough to send me my very own Black Onyx Mudra, a stone that channels self-mastery, the ability to promote wise decision-making and replace stress with clarity and strength. Also being a New Yorker, black has always been my color of choice so I was immediately drawn to my mudra. In the past several months I’ve worn my jewelry regularly especially during long flights and even longer working hours and have received so many compliments that I wanted to share Callie and Arianna’s concept & design. They have truly mastered the elegance of wellness and have stayed true to their objective of connecting the body to nature. Kalí Zoë means “good life,” or “good wellness” in Greek, and that is exactly what these sisters are on their path to achieving. Stay posted as Callie and Arianna share their #Sisterpreneurs startup stories with Vanity+ Trade in the coming weeks.
